separation
2004
Wood, artist's hair, ivory13 x 7 x 9 in. When I was small the piano was big like an elephant.I knew I never had much gift in music but it brought me joy in my life. Playing a piano always makes me feel at ease.It shields me from feeling anxious.Departure brings separation.Separation brings anxiety and longing. It also brings a new chapter, feeling a little bigger than small. And again, I start a day optimistically.
